3 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Nov 8)

1. Taking Down A Machine

This week, Sami Callihan vowed to take down Brian Cage and wrest the X Division Championship from him. The first of those two things he did, albeit with the help of Dave and Jake Crist, along with several members of the locker room. It just seemed completely pointless at the end of the day. If the oVe leader wanted the championship away from Cage so badly, he would've told the reinforcements to hold back, not get blatantly involved in full-view of the referee.

Fair enough, it's the type of behaviour we can expect to see from Callihan these days. But he'll never be winning championship gold if he has to rely on his cronies every time. He's got everything he needs to succeed on his own, and while his partnership with the former OI4K has been nothing short of superb, it is maybe time for him to venture out on his own.

In a way, you could say that this means Cage will be worn down a bit for the pair's rematch in Las Vegas next week. Wait, does 'The Machine' ever really get worn down?
