3 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE Smackville

2. There Was No Women's Match As Advertised

Before Smackville (which this writer keeps typing as 'SmackVille' due to habit of capitalising post-'Smack') , WWE advertised a SmackDown Women's Title match pitting Bayley against both Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. It...didn't happen, for whatever reason. Fans in Nashville didn't even get to see it.

The Triple Threat wasn't on the card at all.

The only women's match WWE presented was a dark match win for The IIconics over The Kabuki Warriors. No Bayley, no Charlotte and no Alexa. This was true, "Card Subject To Change" sh*thousery of the highest degree, and it doesn't exactly make much sense. There's no reason why WWE couldn't put some variation of the match on; if someone was hurt, or struggling with illness like Bálor, a singles match would've sufficed.

Nobody, not fans watching at home on the WWE Network or those in attendance at the Bridgestone Arena, received an explanation. Though true the match was another house show title defence-in-waiting for the champion, it shouldn't have been advertised without going ahead.
