3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Jan 7)

Excalibur Chuck Taylor
AEW

The revolving AEW Dark colour commentary door saw Chuck Taylor swing back in alongside Excalibur for the night, making for one of the most natural pairings All Elite Wrestling has put together since they started mixing the announcers up.

It was an easy choice. Taylor and Excalibur have boatloads of experience calling matches together in PWG, where they were regular partners in the booth. Here, the tone is more serious and less screwball than it was on the cult indie, though they still made for a fun little duo, bringing chemistry and charm to the show.

Mark this as one of the more successful commentary experiments.
