3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage: Holiday Bash (Dec 23)

2. Preston Vance’s First Dance Was Meh

Preston Vance Rush
AEW

Last week, Preston Vance told JR during a sit-down interview that he didn't regret turning his back on The Dark Order or Brodie Lee's young son. In fact, as he pointed out, the kid had become an egotistical "little brat". Strong words, but not ones AEW followed up on.

Vance's first match since agreeing to join forces with Rush? An overstuffed 'Trios Battle Royale' that meant he jousted for elbow room next to countless other wrestlers. All Elite did book a short beatdown from The Order, but that was about it. It was poor follow-up.

Wouldn't it have been more logical for Preston and Rush to win so the latter could say it literally pays to follow his lead? We'll get to the match finish in the 'Ups' (it was still fun), but questions are already being posted about exactly where a mask-less Vance is headed.

Hmm.
