3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 12 - Results & Review)

1. Another Workhorse Winner

Eddie Kingston Wheeler Yuta
AEW

Looking back, Eddie Kingston's rags-to-riches story in the Continental Classic is one of the best things Tony Khan has ever booked. Starting 0-2, then rallying to come out on top and seize the Triple Crown made Kingston even more endearing to fans than he already was. That took some doing, but AEW did it.

On Rampage, Eddie worked another fab outing vs. Wheeler Yuta. Anyone watching closely would've surely appreciated the overall pacing, and the work Yuta did on Eddie's arm throughout. Kingston had to grit his teeth, fight through the pain and scrap his way to a tough win. He's really good at that sort of thing.

This opener probs should've been the main event, being honest, but everyone should just be thankful it happened at all. It's the kind of match Rampage is perfect for, and the quaint surroundings of Daily's Place gave it a unique atmosphere too. That shouldn't be overlooked.

Go watch it if you haven't already.
