3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Mar 10)

2. This All Worked

Riho beating Nyla Rose showed two things.

One, Riho is being reheated by Khan. Two, Nyla is probably dead in the water as an ongoing concern now that Vickie Guerrero is off TV. Rose was the natural monster heel in this equation, but she ended up on the losing end as Riho toppled yet another physically-impressive opponent.

Both women deserve praise for the final few minutes. They set a hot pace, and things peaked nicely right before Riho scored the win. It's also amazing that the energy-sapping picture-in-picture ad break didn't outright wreck their momentum too - both workers sidestepped that with ease.

The post-match beatdown delivered by Saraya, Toni Storm and Ruby Soho went over well enough too. Toni still feels miscast in the heel role, but it's hard to argue with the explanation AEW gave for Ruby joining up with her new stablemates on Dynamite.

Maybe things will work out for this trio after all.
