3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (May 26)

Ups...

3. Decent Match Into Angle

Onto some good stuff.

Hikaru Shida teaming with Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose and Marina Shafir was way better than this fan expected when he saw it was announced for Rampage's lineup. JR did a neat job on comms of putting over Shafir's toughness, and the right women won in the end (Shida and Baker).

Then, to put a bow on the segment and tease what's to come at Double Or Nothing, AEW had The Outcasts lay out Jamie Hayter backstage. That was shown on the big screens, so Britt and Hikaru sprinted backstage to try and even the odds. The whole thing was produced well.

There was a nice gap between Baker and Shida winning (allowing them to celebrate) and the backstage ambush. Nice little match-into-angle transition there, people - that's the kind of thing Rampage could use a little more of.
