3 Ups & 4 Downs From WWE Raw (22 December - Results & Review)

Realistically, Maxxine Dupri should be sending Becky Lynch a fruit basket every week, because it’s fair to say that her rise can be almost entirely attributed to the efforts of The Man.
Lynch has been an ideal foil for Dupri while getting the most out of Maxxine in the ring, and that was on display again Monday night when the Women’s Intercontinental Champion came out to respond to Becky’s rantings. Maxxine put over Becky, only to point out that she’s beaten her three times, and she’ll gladly do it again.
Dupri suggested that Becky should take the title loss on the chin, rather than looking like “someone whose best days are behind her,” which prompted a Lynch sucker-punch and beatdown. But Maxxine recovered and hooked an anklelock, forcing Becky to tap and retreat while fans went nuts for Dupri.
It’s uncanny, really. Maxxine shouldn’t be in this position when looking at her body of work outside of Lynch. The Man really is the catalyst for Dupri’s success.
And a quick hats-off to Becky for her conspiracy theorist character, which is an obvious play on the mad rantings of the current United States president. She uses the same ALL-CAPS screeds, corny, alliterative nicknames, unfounded claims and threats of legal action that the president and WWE Hall-of-Famer uses regularly, but Lynch is portrayed as a delusional heel.
How she managed to get this character in full form on television while Triple H basically hangs out at the White House to record Twitter videos is beyond anyone’s comprehension.
