3 Ups & 5 Downs From AEW Rampage: Black Friday (Nov 25)

Downs...

5. This Nothing Segment

Hikaru Shida
AEW

Hikaru Shida beat Queen Aminata in less than 90 seconds whilst The Bunny and Penelope Ford kept an eye on things without actually doing anything. Thrilling scenes. Even the announce trio of Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and JR didn't have much to say about this.

That's when you know a story is paper-thin.

As always, Rampage could do without these short squashes when they happen. They never add anything of value to the show, and an hour-long broadcast is far too short for 90-second skits that fail to offer entertainment or any real storyline progression.

The big stories in the women's division include Jamie Hayter becoming Women's Champ, Thunder Rosa being stripped and Saraya's in-ring comeback. If AEW want Shida vs. Bunny/Ford to become something comparable, then they'll need more than this.
