4. “Bury That Title Forever”

Then, they had to go and sh*t on their own booking.

A frustrated Toni Storm appeared in a sit-down pre-tape with Renee Paquette to reveal that her road back to the belt starts now. That's fine. However, it isn't fine to repeatedly plunder the "Interim" tag as a company then badmouth it after the fact like it was somebody else's doing.

AEW did that here. Post-promo, JR said: 'Bury that title forever". Of course, he was referring to the old "Interim" belt, not the one Jamie Hayter currently holds. Retroactively p*ssing all over your own booking by pretending that Toni was the official Women's Champ all along is just insulting to fans, being honest.

She clearly wasn't presented as such; nobody viewed her as the official champ when Thunder Rosa was consistently called that on TV. Yes, the "Interim" tag should be binned (for every belt, because it's been overdone), but this just didn't need to be mentioned on programming.
