3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE NXT UK (26 March)

2. No More Talk Shows

Talk shows in modern wrestling are rarely a must-see attraction, and we have Noam Dar to thank for further justifying that point last night.

‘The Scottish Supernova’ was joined by Trent Seven for the latest edition of Supernova Sessions at the top of the show, mocking the Moustache Mountain man for his failed attempt at prying away Jordan Devlin’s Cruiserweight Championship. Essentially, all this entailed was Dar questioning why he was yet to receive a title match vs. ‘The Irish Ace’, and Seven being mad at being called an outsider.

Cue Sha Samuels to back up Noam, and we got confirmation that he and Trent would be in Noam and Tyler Bate’s corners, respectively, at NXT UK Prelude. Cool. This could’ve been done in a backstage segment, though, rather than a dreary ten minute skit at the start of the episode.

No point was proven here. We heard again that Trent Seven is a founding father of NXT UK and how hard it was for him to reach the 205-pound weight limit. Good for him, but who cares at this point? It’s the same old thing we hear every week, and quite frankly, Noam and Sha could be doing a whole lot better.
