2. Charlotte’s Beef With Rhea Doesn’t Change Things

Sure, it’s logical that Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley still don’t see eye to eye given their brutal history as rivals, but that doesn’t change the fact that this women’s WarGames thing feels so awkwardly put together and sudden. They’re not really fighting over anything, the teams are flimsy even with Flair, and…yeah, Charlotte announcing that she’s off the babyface team fell flat to kick off SmackDown because the whole match at Survivor Series is flat.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves had to sit there and try their best to sell Flair walking out as some catastrophic event that gives the heels the edge come WarGames. Cool, but their squad is still comprised of Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax and Lash Legend - with another name set to be announced soon. Jax hasn't been up to much lately, and her union with Lash has only just got going.

Insert Scott Hall doing his, 'Oooh, I'm scared' taunt here.

Apologies, because this writer is fully aware that he's harping on similar points a ton here, but it's worth repeating. These WarGames lineups are weak, man. That heel team is particularly crap and disjointed. There are barely any links between The Kabuki Warriors, Nia and Legend to speak of. In fact, wouldn't the latter pair rather challenge for the Women's Tag Titles held by...Asuka and Kairi?!

Flair can walk out all she likes, and Ripley can act all hurt by it until the sun goes down, but that won't make anybody more excited about this double cage scenario. There's literally no good reason why it's even happening in the first place.
