If you didn’t get at least a little fired up or entertained during the first half-hour of WWE Raw on Monday night, you might be dead inside.

Raw delivered a legit capital-M Moment to kick off the show, capitalizing on John Cena’s final show in his hometown of Boston by making an impromptu match against an opponent he’s never faced one-on-one, for a title he’s never won.

Cena capturing the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Dominik Mysterio after the two battled on the mic to open the show (and Triple H was there, too) set a very high bar for Raw that would have required a cataclysmic failure over the last two hours to bring the show down. Thankfully, Raw had some other surprises in store.

WWE didn’t waste time in having Nikki Bella reveal her true colors to Stephanie Vaquer, ending the charade and kicking that rivalry off in earnest. They also booked a Women’s Tag Team Championship title change that shined a spotlight on the women’s tag division, which has surprisingly become a major strength in 2025.

The tournament to determine Cena’s final opponent kicked off Monday to disappointing results, but there are some good matches on the horizon, so stay tuned. And WWE announced two WarGames matches… because it’s November and that’s what you do in the Fed.

All told, this was a triumph for Raw, buoyed by Cena and bolstered by a heel turn and a second title change.

Let’s get to it…
