3. 6-Woman Tag With MITB Flavour Feels Fresh

OK, so it's obviously a pretty standard plan to stick SmackDown’s women against Raw’s in 6-woman tag action before Saturday’s ladder match, but the cast helped give this a freshness that many matches of the same type lack. Seeing Lash Legend mix it with Roxanne Perez, or Sol Ruca tangling with Tiffany Stratton, felt like something new for WWE and we don’t get to say that a whole hell of a lot.

At heart, this match was merely a preview for what’s to come at MITB, but it was a rock solid one and a lot of the workers involved looked like bonafide stars hungry for success. Also, both teams picked nice spots to show miscommunication or dissension too, which is cool because they shouldn’t get on ahead of such an important PLE match.

For example, Perez and Ruca refusing to tag one another sold how little regard they have for each other. On the other side of the ring, Jacy Jayne and Stratton kept getting in one another's way, thus putting across that they've got no chemistry together. Why would they? Tiffy has been teaming with Chelsea Green, and Jayne with her Fatal Influence teammates. Tiny flourishes such as this can really make a match worthwhile, so good job to the wrestlers and the agents responsible.

Lash standing tallest over the entire Money In The Bank ladder match field implies that she won't be winning in New Orleans though. Not unless WWE plans to spring a surprise and buck the trend of their usual booking strategy.
