3 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (April 7)

1. Could’ve Been Even Better, But…

Greats like Sami Zayn and Jey Uso have set the bar extremely high over the past year or so. Their storytelling as part of the wider Bloodline narrative has been world class, so keep that in mind lest ye scoff at the "could've been better" part of that subheading.

It isn't meant as an insult - more an illustration of how high expectations are due to prior stellar performances from them. This was a good match all things considered anyway, and the setup was some laugh. Kevin Owens got taken out by the ever-dangerous Solo Sikoa, then Sami and Jey thrashed out their differences in-ring.

They've gone from being background players to main-eventing WrestleMania and episodes of TV. What's not to love about that? The finish involving Riddle would've been better without Raw's booking, but he'll only play a small part in the story long-term.

Go out of your way to watch this, because it was another worthy chapter in wrestling's best ongoing narrative.
