3 Ups & 6 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 2)

4. The Problem With This

On the surface, that's a terribly-captured screenshot from the tag match on Rampage. It is, but it was chosen for a reason. Referee Aubrey Edwards had been admonishing Isiah Kassidy for being in the ring as an illegal man when she turned to watch...illegal man Jeff Jarrett double-team Marq Quen with Jay Lethal.

Aubrey didn't say sh*t about that.

Yikes, the finish to this tag was so rough. Sure, it was a fairly nothing match to begin with, but the final seconds really tipped it over the edge. The whole segment was like a buffet of annoyance; picture-in-picture ad breaks in a short bout, a complete lack of consistency with ref decisions, the fact that Private Party aren't over etc etc.

It's hard to see what this was supposed to accomplish beyond killing a few pesky minutes of TV time on a show that TK blatantly doesn't care for these days. Aubrey looked silly by being so vocal about Kassidy not rolling out then just staring straight at the heels cheating.
