3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE Clash In Italy (Results & Review)

2. Kudos For Going All In

WWE Clash in Italy 2026 Sol Ruca
WWE

After expressing concerns about Sol Ruca’s performance and the potential for issues on the main roster, there should be a bit of praise for WWE committing to a push for the rookie call-up.

For better or worse, this could be a sink-or-swim moment for Ruca. She defeated Becky Lynch for her first real main roster victory, capturing the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Her run thus far has been botchy and uneven, but even in her match Sunday night, Sol showed flashes of the talent that got her called up in the first place.

If Ruca is able to focus on the positives – her flip out of a DDT attempt, her moonsault to the floor, and landing a clean Sol Snatcher – then whatever has led to the mistakes will hopefully fade and she will be off to the races.

There was a good argument for WWE pumping the brakes on this Sol Ruca push given some of the mishaps, but let’s give credit here for the positives and for WWE sticking with the direction change. Hopefully, Sol gets to have matches with other superstars and gain more experience rather than just existing in the Becky-verse for the time being.
