3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (June 25)

1. Jey Uso > Jimmy Uso

Not generally, just in this storyline.

Jey Uso was a better fit to play Roman Reigns suck up than his brother Jimmy. That was part of an elongated journey towards submission for Jey, and it included several kick ass matches. Meanwhile, Jimmy roared back into view by rebelling against Roman, but has decided to become a watered-down version of his sibling for the sake of it. Eh?

This all feels terribly rushed. It's like WWE thought about casting Jimmy as a strong solo babyface who eventually won back his brother then got cold feet. Being brutally honest, he's coming across as lame right now, and that'll be the case until he (hopefully) reveals that his pandering has been a ruse all along.

Even that has problems, 'cause Jimmy is going so hard with his brown-nosing that it'll be a challenge for creative to pivot out of it. WWE might want to rethink where they're heading with Jimmy and start moving towards an Usos split from Roman before it's too late.
