3 Ups & 6 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Nov 12)

1. ‘King’ Roman

Uh oh.

Roman Reigns is the last guy in WWE who needs that cartoonish crown. The thought of him going cartoony is bleak, not least 'cause he's been a breath of fresh air as a more serious character over the past 12 months. The 'Tribal Chief' thing better not give way to 'King' Roman.

This better be a one-off. Being honest, it likely will be. Reigns made Xavier Woods look like a million bucks (no surprises there), before technically losing via disqualification when The Usos ran in. That didn't stop Jimmy and Jey from planting Woods' crowd on Roman's head, or the announcers from claiming that Reigns is SmackDown's new 'King'.

If this is leading to a match with Big E at Survivor Series, which is surely the plan, then WWE better get a move on. They've got one week to make the WWE Champion vs. Universal Champion match more than a simple exhibition, and Roman crushing Xavier is the perfect story to help with that.

Just...keep that crown away from Reigns full-time.
