3 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dark (Nov 5)

MJF took Jim Ross' place in the Dark commentary booth last night and did an absolutely tremendous job in coming off like a young Jerry 'The King' Lawler, delivering some of the night's most memorable lines in the process.

"Michael Nakazawa is a freak, always covered in baby oil," he said as the Japanese wrestler made his entrance. "And what's baby oil made of? I'll let you do the math: if olive oil is made from olives, and coconut oil is made from coconuts... do the math, folks." Then, when Sadie Gibbs was arriving: "She's trying to cover up her weaknesses, knowing she's from the UK, wearing a mouthpiece... very intelligent, we don't wanna see those teeth!"

Was MJF a little too distracting and a tad too focused on putting himself over before the action? Under other circumstances, definitely, but the bulk of said "action" was of such a low standard that MJF's presence was most welcome. Maybe we'll see more wrestlers step into the booth in future episodes, though they'd do well to follow young Max.
