3 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dark (Nov 5)

1. A Fun Main Event

Jimmy Havoc Jungle Boy

While nothing to write home about, Dark's main event pitting Jimmy Havoc and Joey Janela against Jurassic Express' Marko Stunt and Jungle Boy was a fun little tag match and comfortably the best contest on the show, though the lineup looks like it was custom-built to anger fans of certain persuasions who claim they aren't watching, but still find nitpicks.

"Solid" is the operative term here. It was fifteen minutes of back-and-forth action highlighted by Jurassic Express' bursts of life, with the pint-sized Stunt taking a disgusting-looking avalanche package piledriver for the finish. The man's bumping is something else. He looks like he's being folded like an accordion every single time.

Janela's pinfall came after he'd stapled his partner right in the face, taking him out of the equation. That Joey technically defeated Jurassic on his own enhances his victory ahead of the teased Shawn Spears match, though it's curious that rather than striking back, Havoc just slinked into the background after the match. Nonetheless, a decent effort from the participants.
