3. Webster Isn't Worthy

Joseph Conners vs. Flash Morgan Webster was a fine match, but on a show like last night’s delightful episode, it isn’t worthy of an Up.

Webster hit some neat high-risk manoeuvres, including the over-the-referee somersault dive that’s in many Rey Mysterio GIFs from the mid-2000s, however, that’s as good as the match ever got. That’s no blight on the wrestlers, mind, but the pace they were wrestling at was entirely the opposite of what they should have been doing. Conners shouldn’t have dominated and also won, for example.

Jinny and the former WCPW Champion distracted the referee by trying to use Webster’s entrance helmet, allowing ‘The Fashionista’ to knock the SUBCULTURE member from atop the turnbuckles. A neat straightjacket Rude Awakening put ‘The Modfather’ down.

Mark Andrews and Dani Luna made the save post-match, likely planting the seeds for a mixed tag team match to end this tiresome story arc. Maybe then all of SUBCULTURE will stay together at ringside. For now, though, this failed everyone involved.
