After losing at WrestleMania 39, speculation ran rampant that Damage CTRL’s time together as a stable had run its course. After all, the group hadn’t won a damn thing recently, and there was no thread for them going forward.

Then on Monday, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky came out to face Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan in a #1 contender’s match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship, which they lost. They also came out without Bayley, with no mention of the Role Model.

And yet, there was no mention of dissension or disillusionment in the group. They just lost clean and new challengers were named. Maybe next week we’ll get some direction, but the Raw after Mania is supposed to be when we start getting new directions for characters. This was just a dead act sputtering along for another week.
