3 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 20)

4. Miracle On 34th Street Fight

The Revival worked one seriously good opener with New Day at TLC last Sunday. Despite being up against it due to the tacked-on ladder gimmick, both teams worked hard to make their match a winner, and they succeeded. Fans of the team were probably eager to see what WWE had in mind to reward Dash and Dawson for their graft.

Christmas nonsense, that's what.

A "SmackDown tradition", according to Michael Cole, the 'Miracle On 34th Street Fight' idea was nonetheless a poor use of the best tag WWE has on their books. When will this company learn their lesson when it comes to The Revival and simple, straight-ahead tag-team wrestling?

Dash and Dawson should have come out spitting venom about taking New Day to their limits on the final supershow of the year. Instead, they were bumping on Lego, cramming food into Otis' mouth and using bowling balls before doing the job.
