3 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (May 24)

4. 21 Minutes For THAT Finish?

Kofi Kingston Drew McIntyre

So we’re going to run it back next week, eh?

After sitting through a 21-minute match between Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre to determine the #1 contender to the WWE Championship, we were treated to Bobby Lashley and MVP just storming the ring and causing a double-DQ, rendering the entire match meaningless.

And just to drive the point home, Adam Pearce decided that we would replay the match next week between Kingston and McIntyre to the title shot at Hell in a Cell, which means we likely get to sit through another lengthy match. But what does it say to fans who sit through a long minute match, only to learn they have to do it all over again?

If you’re going to do a redo the following week, don’t make fans sit there for nearly a half-hour watching and then tell them it was meaningless.
