3 Ups & 9 Downs From WWE Raw (May 24)

3. Reggie, And More Reggie

Just in case you were fooled into caring about the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship because the titles were defended in the main event of Raw on Monday night, WWE made sure to reinforce why they’re just props and the real stars are a sommelier and pyro.

Natalya & Tamina battled challengers Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler, with Reginald banished from ringside by Baszler. But Reggie didn’t heed her warnings and came down, cost Shayna a pin attempt and was sent away again. This time, a wall of flames blocked his path and blinded him again, inexplicably distracting Shayna (you know, the one who can’t stand Reggie), so she got rolled up for the pin.

And then Baszler challenged Reginald to a match next week. Because an intergender match in 2021 is what will bring in the viewers. Maybe the ringposts will catch fire again.
