3 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night’s WWE NXT (July 8)

Ah, that's better. That's a proper money match. At the top of the show, following their victory over Dana Brooke and Emma, Charlotte demanded a title shot from Sasha Banks next week in exchange for helping her. Banks replied with a simple, "Oh, it's on."

Brilliant. Flair and Banks are two of the best wrestlers in the WWE, regardless of gender, and seeing them lock it up will always be a treat. It feels like a TakeOver match come early, and will do much to shake off last night's cobwebs.

The matchup is especially interesting because Banks seems to be going through an anti-hero face turn. Not only was she gutsy in her willingness to face Brooke and Emma by herself, but she also shook Charlotte's hand once the match reached its conclusion.

A face/face confrontation between the two ladies is a new dynamic for them and mutual respect might just take their wrestling to new heights. No cheap shots, no short cuts, just drag-out wrestling. Of course, it could all be the setup for a big swerve as well. Either way, it's damn interesting.

With Charlotte and Banks heavily rumoured to be making their main roster debuts at Summerslam joining Paige in a tag match against the Bellas and Alicia Fox, how they interact next week could be very telling for how they'll be packaged on the main stage.
