The show opened with a backstage promo from Drew Galloway, who was angry at WCPW Champion Joseph Conners for attacking him and would be competing tonight against doctor's orders. The promo was a bit jarring to me at first, for no other reason than that I don't think I've ever seen Galloway work as a babyface (he's currently the top heel in EVOLVE). That was my problem, though, and I soon realized that the promo was great.

Galloway spoke about how he received a head injury and wasn't cleared (a touchy subject, but if it's a work, it's a work), but he flipped the doctor off and he'd do the same to Conners before kicking his ass. He promised to take the WCPW Title in the main event later that evening.

Galloway is such a great talent, and wherever he ends up, that company will be lucky to have him. All of the uncertainty about TNA's future probably means he doesn't even know where he'll be working soon, but whether it's WWE, New Japan, or British and American independents, he'll certainly be in demand.
