3 Ups And 6 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Dec 6)

3. Size Matters, And So Does Quality

Corbin Kalisto

At TLC, Baron Corbin and Kalisto had what was admittedly a good match. While nobody expects much from Corbin or chairs matches, the two men went toe to toe in what was arguably the best-ever match under that stipulation. Kalisto came off looking good, but ultimately, Corbin scored the win, giving their program a decent end.

So naturally, they had to do a rematch on Smackdown. There was no impetus for it, it was just announced and it happened. This time, Corbin started off strong, but Kalisto ended up controlling the majority of the short match with fast-paced offense. He tried to go for a headscissors, but Corbin stopped him midway through and planted him with the End of Days. That earned him the three count.

This time, nobody came off looking good - Corbin was ultimately dominated by a man much smaller than him, while Kalisto suffered an unnecessary loss. This was yet another segment that felt thrown together at the last moment to fill time.
