30 Great WWE Superstars And Their Strange Rookie Finishers

23. Rey Mysterio

The tiger feint kick known as the 619 was so heavily identified with Rey Mysterio that it showed up everywhere. It was all over his entrance video, it was the topic of no less than three theme songs, and was even emblazoned across his pleather jammies. For more than ten years, Mysterio used the 619 to set up progressively less athletic finishing moves, starting with the springboard guillotine leg drop and winding down with the weakest top rope splash this side of Ryback. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBN4lpzb2WI In the years before his WWE run, Mysterio€™s best weapon was his huracanrana roll-up. Like DDP€™s Diamond Cutter, Mysterio made a career by hitting the move at unexpected times and from unexpected places. He could springboard in from across the ring, spin around from an electric chair position, and to counter a powerbomb. It was this last one that won what was probably the best match of Mysterio€™s career, the mask vs. title epic against Eddie Guerrero at Halloween Havoc 1997.
