30 One-Time-Only WWE Royal Rumble Entrants You Totally Don't Remember

26. The Junkyard Dog (1988)

JYD Royal Rumble 88
WWE

Time In Match: 2:08

JYD was a huge star in the territories prior to his arrival in the WWF, and while his time with Titan was never successful on the same level, he was still a major player for a few years. JYD€'s solo Rumble appearance came in the first televised version of the event in 1988, where he drew the lucky pick as the 20th and final entrant. Due to the rushed nature of the match (the whole thing went little over half an hour) and with the WWF not yet experts at putting the format together, its structure was all over the place. JYD was one of the casualties of that and for a while he held the Royal Rumble shortest time record for his 2:08 spell.
