10. WCW Cramps ‘Attitude’s’ Style

This writer has always been a huge WCW fan, and still watches old shows on the Network/Peacock today, but there’s no denying that it stomped all over the WWF’s momentum in 2001. Seeing so much WCW chat on WWF pay-per-view reminded one of Tony Khan diluting AEW supershows with promotions like ROH, AAA, New Japan and more.

It was all far too convoluted and busy.

In short, dumping a lorry load of ex-WCW and ECW workers onto the already overstuffed WWF roster was too much too soon. That's presumably why some fans believe 'Attitude' was a dying concept by the time the botched invasion angle took place between March-November '01.
