4. Thank God For ‘Mania X8’s ‘Icon’ Battle

WrestleMania X8 had a few decent scraps on it, but Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock is the only one people will dive back into when thinking of the show. Although Hulk vs. Rock didn't headline, 'Mania X8 was defo one of those one match cards examined earlier. Lord only knows the state of the pay-per-view had Hogan and the nWo not returned when they did.

'Mania X-Seven could fall back on TLC II, Vince vs. Shane, 'Taker vs. Triple H and even Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit when looking beyond the Austin vs. Rock smash hit. 2002's event in Canada didn't have the same depth. Triple H vs. Jericho tanked in the headliner slot, and hardly any of the other matches felt like they should be viewed more than once.

Thank God for 'Icon vs. Icon'.
