12. Edge Goes Hardcore
Edge spears hardcore legend Mick Foley through a flaming table, just one highlight of a brutal hardcore match at WrestleMania 22.
Mick Foley has a habit of transforming people's opinion of wrestlers. He made The Rock seem a sadistic, brutal heel in 1999. He galvanised Triple H's early main event run with a pair of brutal matches in early 2000. He even made a man out of the young upstart Randy Orton, coating his back in countless thumbtacks at Backlash 2004.
Come WrestleMania 22 and it was Edge's turn to face the hardcore legend. The Rated-R Superstar gave as good as he got, and then some, diving with an unbelievable spear to the outside of the ring, driving both Foley and himself (face first!) through a flaming table. He went on to win the bout and ascend to an even greater platform of villainy.
