7. A New Stable?
Reigns and Sheamus faced off to cap the major storyline of this week's Raw: the need for Roman to defeat the WWE Champion in 5:15 or less. With not only his own aspirations as champ on the line, but those of Dean Ambrose and The Usos as well, he found himself under a lot of pressure. Of course, WWE weren't about to strike a trio of title matches from the TLC card. They danced around the issue by having Sheamus' new heel buddies intervene, drawing an entirely necessary DQ. Sheamus then cut a promo introducing his brand new heel stable: the League of Nations - featuring Rusev and Barrett (with whom he'd previously been loosely associated), as well as a rather surprising choice in the form of Del Rio. The idea of a heel foreigner stable has been tossed around a lot over the past month or so, but the fact that WWE are actually running with it must go down as a pretty big shock. Who'd have thought we'd be here a month or so ago, with Seth Rollins still on top of the world, and Sheamus still a semi-comedic midcarder?
