4 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Jan 21)

2. Jon Moxley. In-Ring. On Rampage.

Jon Moxley Ethan Page
AEW

Welcome back, Jon Moxley.

Sure, the comeback king returned on Wednesday's Dynamite to a booming response, but his first match back happened on Rampage. That, again, is another show of faith in the show from Tony Khan and pals. This bout vs. Ethan Page was also Mox's first AEW match since the 27 October Dynamite, which is mad.

He looked smashing here, and it's nice to have him back in All Elite rings. That time away clearly did Jon some good both mentally and physically, and kicking off the show with his return match started things with a pretty loud bang. People were very happy to see Moxley trade some holds.

This wasn't some two-minute squash either. Mox and Page, who was the right opponent for him, went over 10 minutes before the crowd-pleasing finish. Then, post-match, AEW set about the task of preparing people for a real corker that'll tear the house down when it happens...
