3. Theory Gets Title Shot, Looks Stupid

Up until the last five minutes of Raw, you could almost give a pass to WWE for the sheer stupidity surrounding the Cleopatra egg foolishness. But then WWE couldn’t help itself.

Austin Theory cashed in on his thievery with a WWE Championship match, but instead of just having a really competitive match where the rookie was bested by champ Big E, they decided to have Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens get involved. Their shenanigans outside the ring distracted Theory, who turned right around into a Big Ending for the loss.

Before any of you say, “Oh, they were protecting Austin,” let’s stop you right there. That’s BS. Getting distracted in the biggest match of your career is not “protecting” someone. Having a banger of a title match and simply losing to the champ because he’s a step better than you when you’re a blue-chip rookie is protecting someone.

But in WWE, they have this warped view that a clean win is a burial, and any kind of shade of gray leaves the door open, even if it makes people look stupid in the process.
