5. Becky Doesn’t Want Your Cheers

Oh goodie, now that Becky Lynch is done being the biggest babyface on the Survivor Series card by defeating the hated Charlotte Flair (and delivering a tearful promo afterward), she can go back to trying to be a hated heel on Raw… unsuccessfully.

Lynch came out to soak up cheers from fans, then quickly turned on them for wanting to see “something fresh and new” in the form of a new challenger. She said that she used to put a lot of stock in what fans thought, but now she knows they’re full of crap. Becks even touched on the fans chanting “AEW” and doing the wave during the women’s Survivor Series match as evidence the fans were fickle, then trashed Liv Morgan.

And that was it.

As a promo, it wasn’t bad at all – Lynch is usually reliable on the mic. Even the material wasn’t bad. But the problem is that there isn’t a huge babyface to act as a counterweight to Becky’s heel persona. So then by default, fans cheer Lynch because she’s the bigger star and way cooler than anyone else.

When Becky noted that Morgan has won one match in the past four years, that wasn’t far off from the truth. Why should we cheer Liv over Becky when we haven’t even been given a reason to care about Morgan?
