4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (April 5 - Results & Review)

2. Another Fun One

Serena Deeb Trish Adora
AEW

AEW gave Serena Deeb and Trish Adora plenty of time to work with, and that meant Deeb could lace the match with a clear story which was easy to follow. Her experience edge was the glue holding this bout together, but kudos to Adora for willingly forgoing some of her usual fire so that tale could be told.

Workers who adapt their style to suit the actual match are the best.

This one was zippy and competitive, and the announcers talked up All Elite's on/off rankings system plenty. You can't ask for much more than that, especially when Serena's experience means she'd be a fine success story in the women's division. It looks like the company fancies programming her vs. Toni Storm eventually.

Trish will survive a loss like this. Defeats are fine if wrestlers get to show out mid-match first - Adora wasn't squashed, or anything. Of course, it would be nice if Tony Khan fleshed out her character a little more beyond, 'She's eh...with The Infantry!'.
