4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 11)

Downs...

2. Someone Have A Word With AEW Refs!

Aussie Open The Outrunners Aubrey Edwards AEW Refs

Pretty please? Aussie Open vs. The Outrunners was a perfectly acceptable squash for the most part, but it was wrecked by some of the most passive refereeing you're ever likely to see. Here's the deal: AEW officials acting this way makes them look like tools. It also spits in the face of logic.

Aubrey Edwards didn't even bother trying to lay down the law or really even count the illegal man throughout this bout. This has been a pet peeve for many during All Elite's run, but they're just taking the p*ss now. Just make your tags tornado style as a general rule and be done with it.

That'd be problem solved!

Instead, AEW has refs occasionally count when they can be arsed like enforcing the rules is a choice. Then, sometimes they give up mid-count like it isn't important anyway, thus undermining their own credibility as the person in charge of the match. It's stupid, ridiculous and needs sorting immediately.
