4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 11)

3. This Will Always Be A Winner

Brian Cage Darby Allin
AEW

Darby Allin is at his best when he's working against bigger guys who can outmuscle him, so Brian Cage was perfect for this spot. Both showed off a top big man vs. little man dynamic, and it worked well throughout the entire match. As aforementioned, big Bri's confidence has spiked since he started teaming with Big Bill, which is awesome to see.

Watch this match, basically.

It was action-packed, and had fans in Columbus rocking near the end. AEW gave the pair plenty of time to work with too, so the match didn't suffer from Rampage's usual picture-in-picture interruptions. Cage stuck to his power-based stuff, and Darby fought from underneath - it was very, very good.

The small package finish wasn't as strong as the crucifix reversal from the turnbuckles into a pin, but it still looked sweet. Kudos to Allin for properly holding on tight in that pinning combo too, 'cause far too many wrestlers half-arse that like it doesn't matter.
