4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 11)

1. Score Another Solid Title Match

AEW Rampage Orange Cassidy Johnny TV
AEW

Orange Cassidy has been a true workhorse for AEW since becoming International Champ, and that continued against Johnny TV on Friday night. Beating someone the standing of the one-time John Morrison will only do Orange good too, and both clicked in-ring to work a solid, solid match.

There was a slight lull in the middle, but that likely has more to do with the commercial break than anything else. Wheeler Yuta going after Cassidy maybe feels old hat too, if only 'cause they worked for the then All-Atlantic belt in February on Dynamite, but it'll still be a decent addition to either All In or All Out.

TK could pull the trigger on that one for TV before both events, actually.

Cassidy's International domination rolls on, and Johnny TV got to have his first proper AEW singles match. This is exactly how TV should be used going forwards. He has sufficient star power to offset losses like this and still bounce back, and it's hardly like he was squashed here or anything of the sort.
