10 Worst WWE World Champions Ever - Where Are They Now?

What became of bad WWE World Champions, and what are they up to in 2023?

WWE has presented multiple male World Titles over the years, but only one of them has remained constant. The WWE-branded belt currently joins the newer World Heavyweight Championship (which apparently doesn't share lineage with its predecessor) on Raw and SmackDown as the top prizes on offer.

It's too early to judge the belt Seth Rollins holds, because...well, he's the only guy to hold it thus far. However, the old World Title and that WWE strap? Yeah, they're fair game, and they've witnessed some awful champions over the years.

Please note: A wrestler doesn't need to be terrible to qualify. It's simply true that one of their reigns can be considered totally crap or pointless. There's also another interesting question at play here. Just where are these guys now? Like, what are they up to in 2023?

No, the answer isn't always 'they're in AEW'. Some of them are, but others have retired or are still plugging away on TV under the watchful gaze of Triple H. Then, there's a former WWE Champ who's currently at war with one of the active female roster.

Here goes!

10. Sgt. Slaughter

Title: WWF Title

Length: 64 Days (19 January-24 March 1991).

Where He Is Now: Sarge is the legend referenced in the intro who's warring with Lacey Evans. He's unhappy that she's borrowing aspects of his military gimmick without permission, and that she's using "sex appeal" to sell it. His words there.

The bizarre thing about all of this is that Slaughter's own military background was completely made up so he could assume the role of an aggressive drill instructor. Fans online have pointed to this, and used the drama as an excuse to hammer Sarge's WWF Title reign in 1991.

They're right to - it was brutal.

Slaughter was past his prime by the time he toppled The Ultimate Warrior at the 1991 Royal Rumble. He'd drop the belt to Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VII mere months later. Fast forward to today and he's rattling cages by taking Lacey's WWE work to task.

Hopefully, this silly back-and-forth dies down soon.
