4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage: Beach Break (Jan 28)

2. Motivated Moxley

Jon Moxley
AEW

Man, Moxley has been killing it since returning.

He looks totally re-energised, and it's no coincidence that he had another banger to kick off Rampage. Get set for a long string of them, because Mox is building up to some of the best matches of his entire career. Naturally, one of them will come against resident 'Cheshire Cat' Bryan Danielson.

It was mentioned in the intro, but it's worth talking about here too. Bryan's grinning ways post-match were so unbelievably arrogant. He'd just watched Jon Moxley go through a rugged bout vs. Anthony Bowens, and there he was happy to smile as he stared down the camera lens.

Back to Moxley for a second. He's lacing his recent matches with just enough of a wild side to retain that old danger, but he isn't coming close to going overboard. Remember when he quit WWE and became one hell of a pro wrestler? What if that snarling beast is coming back?

Fingers crossed.
