4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 20)

1. More Dodgy Follow Up

Billy Gunn Sting
AEW

The merits of a feud between The Gunn Club and the Darby Allin/Sting team must also be queried. Is it nice that Billy's sons will get to mix it with bigger stars? Absolutely. They've worked hard and perhaps deserve the opportunity, but the timing is a bit iffy.

Allin is just coming off issues with CM Punk and MJF. Both men are major stars, so this Gunn Club business smacks of 'we don't know what to do with you now, so have a tag-team feud'. It's all rather reminiscent of the pair's tussles with Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page.

There isn't really much call for Sting vs. Billy Gunn in 2021 either.

That doesn't sound like an AEW match at all. A few spots in the Rampage opener suggested that Darby and Billy's boys might be pushed aside so two veterans can lock horns. Did Saudi royalty demand this, or something? Is AEW: Greatest Double Or Nothing coming?
