4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 20)
3. Jade Cargill Advances
Jade Cargill and Red Velvet made the most of their time here. Both have primarily worked shorter bouts since debuting, so 10 minutes against one another could've been a struggle. The fact it wasn't shows how far they've come as performers in AEW.
Cargill winning = smart business too.
She's been a revelation since hitting the women's scene, largely because she offers something different to everybody else. Sure, Nyla Rose is cast as a powerful monster, but she doesn't quite have the natural charisma that Jade does. Hopefully, that'll catch Tony Khan's eye enough to make her the first TBS Champ.
Velvet can be proud of her efforts here as well. She showed good babyface fire when she needed to, and that helped extend the match beyond Cargill's usual 'squash and move on' displays. These women had beef coming in, which also bolstered their chances.
