4 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Sept 29 - Results & Review)
Ups...
4. Bring It On
Well now, this has potential as a story.
Jay Lethal gatecrashed Eddie Kingston's promo time to let the dual NJPW Strong Openweight and ROH World Champion know that he isn't a good enough athlete to hold the latter belt. Throughout his rant, Lethal did well to put across his own history with the strap and say he should represent Honor instead.
This is a decent direction for AEW to take. It'll lead to a hot match (Jay Lethal vs. Eddie Kingston sounds like fun), and Kingston can prove Lethal wrong by hanging in there for 20-25 minutes before taking the win. Those lads would tear the house down together, basically.
Eddie does well when he's outnumbered and has to lash out too. Seeing him kick lumps out of Sonjay Dutt would be a giggle, and Jeff Jarrett likely wouldn't mind bumping around like it's 1995 for the guy either. Then, Kingston and Lethal can do business.
