4 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jan 3)

Downs...

2. What Are They Doing?

Impact’s tag team division has some wonderful teams at the moment. From The Lucha Bros to oVe to The LAX, there’s never any doubt about bad wrestling coming from the division. Well, unless you’re watching Fallah Bahh and KM vs. The Desi Hit Squad.

Bahh and KM are beloved by the fans as an oddball team. A bit like William Regal and Tajiri in a way, in the sense of a serious wrestler that dominates the ring being paired with a bit of a comedy act. Meanwhile, The DHS have rarely been praised in this column, and this week was a prime example of why that’s the case, although that can be blamed on Impact’s booking team.

There’re plenty of options Impact could do with either of these teams. Enhancement talent have been used quite often lately, even as recent opponents for The Desi Hit Squad. They started building those two up, then just stopped. If this is the sort of road they’ll be leading in Impact right now, they’ll remain another failed project.

Post-Homecoming, the Tag Team Champions will be looking for some new meat to have challenge for the gold. Could it be the right time for either of these two teams here?
