4 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jan 3)

1. Kiera's New Friend

Allie’s turn to the dark side has been an up and down journey (no pun intended). Believe it or not, her turn began at Bound For Glory, an event which was only two months ago. Despite this, it feels like years since she started hanging out with Su Yung.

She faced former friend Kiera Hogan this week in a match that wasn’t exactly the greatest thing of all time. Hogan was saved by relative newcomer Jordynne Grace post-match which, in fairness, adds a new development to the rivalry. However, why’s Jordynne getting involved? She’s been dealing with Katarina as of late, and has had no interactions with anyone involved in the rivalry.

Yes, it’s a good way to fit Impact’s newest Knockout on the pay-per-view but she doesn’t need to be in this match. If Impact wanted her on the event, she could’ve came out following the Knockouts Championship match between Tessa Blanchard and Taya Valkyrie, and establish herself as the next challenger. Who knows though, maybe she will still be next in line.

The point still stands though – Jordynne simply does not fit into this rivalry.
