4 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jan 3)

Ups...

4. The 'Killer' In Killer Kross

Up until now, Killer Kross was just a name for a wrestler. Following the shenanigans he got up to this week though, the ‘killer’ portion of his name came quite close to being true. Poor old Trevor Lee had a cinderblock put against his face and Kross punched through it. Oh my.

Kross has been a real standout in Impact throughout 2018, thanks to his previous allegiance with Austin Aries and Moose. That trio ran roughshod over Impact’s top stars – we already knew how good Aries and Moose were, but we didn’t know much about the third wheel of the group. At that stage, Kross had just been introduced as the mysterious backstage attacker.

His actions on this week’s episode proved exactly what kind of guy he is – evil and sadistic. It’s exactly what Kross needs to be in this writer’s humble opinion. You don’t go around with Killer in your name if you play nice with others. More of this sort of thing from Kross going forward please.

It’ll be interesting to see how he plays into the Homecoming main event, seeing as he’s desperate to be Johnny Impact’s bodyguard. Hopefully all will be revealed following the event.
